Meet Lanie Buice
Lanie Buice is a 17-year-old racecar driver from Jackson, Georgia. Her racing journey began when she was just 10 years old, and her passion for the sport has only grown stronger with time. Currently racing a Late Model Stock for Rev Racing, Lanie is proud to be the first racer in her family. Before focusing on racing, she was a multi-sport athlete, participating in soccer, track, gymnastics, equestrian, softball, basketball, and cheerleading.
Lanie dreams of making it to the Cup Series in NASCAR. She believes her competitive spirit and natural racing talent are gifts from God, and she is determined to use them for His glory. Despite not coming from a racing lineage, her drive and determination keep her pushing forward.
Lanie got her start in go-kart racing, competing across the Southeast, where she impressively won 23 consecutive races and six track championships. Transitioning to Legend Cars in 2020, she raced at multiple tracks and earned Rookie of the Year, numerous race wins, and strong performances at Winter and Spring Nationals. In 2022, she became the Georgia State Champion and finished 3rd in national points in a Legend Car.
In 2022, she also began racing in Pro Late Models. During her debut race at Crisp Motorsports Park, she qualified 5th and finished 3rd. In 2023, she raced for AK Performance, finishing 2nd in championship points at Florence Motor Speedway. She also participated in the Cars Tour, where she has notable finishes, including a 7th place in the season’s championship race, with eleven top 5 and 18 top 10 finishes in 27 starts. That year, she also earned the South Carolina Advanced Auto Parts Weekly Series Rookie of the Year and the 2023 Wendell Scott Trailblazer Award.
Currently, Lanie is thrilled to be part of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity team with Rev Racing for the 2024 season, competing in the Advanced Auto Parts Weekly Series. She races at several notable tracks in the Southeast, such as Florence Motor Speedway, Hickory Motor Speedway, Caraway Speedway, and South Boston Speedway.
The support of her incredible team and community keeps her motivated as she races towards her dreams and aims for the top in NASCAR. Your support means the world to her, and she is grateful for every opportunity to share her passion for racing with you. Let’s make 2024 an unforgettable year!
